Paralyzed Firefighter seeks to achieve a dream. Lets make it happen!

Join us for a heart wrenching episode about our neighbors here in Southern Illinois, a former firefighter who is paralyzed from a tragic accident (spinal cord injury) while on duty. We are working to make dreams happen, and not just look at the past. In this episode, you will hear the story of John Philpott and the effects it has had on his family, himself, his wife and their 2 young children. John has always been and outdoorsman enjoying the outdoors and living in the country. But when he became paralyzed this all came to an abrupt halt. Today, WE have a chance to make dreams come true together! Join us for the story of John, and his family and hopefully you will join us in this effort to reunite John with the great outdoors after nearly 17 years of being nearly home bound in a wheelchair. Today we will experience the whole story of the tragic accident, but more importantly we will all have an opportunity to chip in and give John a second chance at outdoor life! We are working on a fundraiser to get John an Action Trackchair, tracked, rugged wheelchair so that John can experience the outdoors with his young children and wife once again. They own 16 acres, and for the last 16 years John has not been able to leave the house or yard area to enjoy any of the beautiful farm that they own. They also have family that own bordering properties that have all been out of reach of John due to his condition. Please help us in this fundraiser to help John get the rugged tracked wheelchair that he has deserved for so long and put him back in the outdoors that he has longed to return to with his family.
