The Slim Dusty Country Music FESTIVAL Awards

This Slim Dusty Country Music Festival ran across four days coinciding with the official opening of the "Slim Dusty Centre" in Kempsey Country NSW,

The four day festival, is a celebration of Australian Country Music and Culture as inspired by the legendary Slim Dusty.

The event includes musical performances by a range of great artists, speaking sessions (Tall Tales and True), Bush Poetry, new and emerging talent, songwriter’s, Bush Balladeers and more.

The Grey Nomad's come to town, and a great time is had by all.

The Slim Dusty Centre, has musical performances and the fans of Slim just love to see all the exhibitions displayed in the centre.

There are performers in venues in the Kempsey show grounds and in Kempsey hotels, clubs and halls across the city, and then also out at Bellbrook at the hotel and in the local Bellbrook Hall.

Bellbrook is a little mountain village classified by the National Trust as a heritage village and is part of the Beautiful Macleay Valley Coast.

Near by is Slim Dusty original family home, "Homewood" and over the other side of the range is the inspiration Pub, for the "Pub with No Beer" another great venue (with lots of memorabilia) that becomes part of the festivities that make up the "Slim Dusty Country Music Festival" in Kempsey.
