The Senate has made major new gun control moves with the publication of the “Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.” (S.2938 - S.Amdt.5099) | S2938 - SAmdt5099. This gun control proposal currently has a veto-proof majority of support in the Senate. Provisions include waiting periods, age to buy, juvenile criminal history checks, red flag (ERPO) provisions, updates to straw man purchasing, unlicensed selling, and expanding the list of prohibited persons to include dating violence restrictions, and much more. This newly proposed 80-page anti-gun law has many sections and represents some of the most major gun control that is likely to become law. The Armed Attorneys Richard Hayes and Edwin Walker break down the new gun law proposal that is making its way through the Senate.
