Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Natan Obed and Elder Claudette Commanda deliver remarks as they attend a community celebration in Ottawa to mark National Indigenous Peoples Day. First celebrated in 1996 and held every year on the summer solstice, the day recognizes the heritage, diverse cultures and histories of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples across Canada.
