This is David Hamilton Park in Richmond Hill, one of the nicest recreational playgrounds in the Northern Greater Toronto Area.
Things to know about David Hamilton Park:
-It's on Valleymede Drive in Southeast Richmond Hill.
-near Leslie Street and 16th Avenue
-It's an innovative playground.
-There are workout machines there.
-Ed Sackfield Arena is next door as well as a basketball court and a baseball diamond.
-Designed by Earthscape and Landscape Planning Limited
-organic lines and shapes of the park resemble water, sand dunes, and grassy hills of the ocean playscape.
-Natural wood materials are used
-The remodelled park was a$27-million project
-there is a new splash pad
-a “four seasons” design theme.
-You can get snacks here at certain hours
-original park opened in 1987 and in 1989
-Park named David Hamilton after Richmond Hill’s former Parks Commissioner.
