Sleeping Problems: A Hidden Epidemic In Our Society
Do you wake up feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day? Or groggy and wishing you could crawl back into bed? 😴
The way we feel when we wake up is a good indicator of the quality of sleep we’re getting at night, and I can tell you that most people don’t fall into that first category. Sleep issues - trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking refreshed - are at epidemic levels in our society.
And our health is suffering because of it…sleep is a non-negotiable for good health! 🛌
Take a moment to rate how you feel upon waking - 1 being horrible and unrefreshed, 10 being completely refreshed and rejuvenated - where do you fall? If it’s not an 8, 9, or 10 then you need to take measures to improve your quality of sleep.
Try the following:
💤 Get outside into the sunlight during the day.
💤 Exercise regularly.
💤 Stop eating two or three hours before bedtime.
💤 Limit artificial light for at least an hour or two before bed, including screens!
