IMO, I believe this song was written for what is happening on our Precious Earth right now...this is the Great Awakening, where we return as ONE EARTH UNDER GOD, living lives in Virtue and Kindness, and Tolerance towards one another...and when Jeff Lynne asks, "Where did we go wrong?" The answer is clear, by forgetting about the Life and Times of Jesus Christ, who Showed Us The Way to God, which is why the SON in the Sky plays such a large role in this "PLAY", or song...
