Scripture: Jeremiah 19:1-11 & Matthew 27:3-10
Sermon starts at 33:27

The people of Judah have abandoned God, defiled the church, built altars and offered up their children as sacrifices to other gods. Jeremiah is instructed by God to buy a clay jar, take some elders and priests to Hinnom Valley, and break the jar in front of those who had gone with him ~

"I will break this people and this city, and it will be like this broken clay jar that cannot be put together again."

God is making the point that as this clay jar can never be put together again, so will the people and this city be irrevocably broken.

*NOTE: the sound cuts out a few times, in the story of the elderly woman in the wheelchair - as Pastor Rick leaves, a worker tells him the woman's daughter lives nearby but has never visited her mother in 10 years
