The Rise and Fall of Patrice Lumumba

From June through September 1960, Patrice Émery Lumumba, a politician and independence advocate from the Congo, served as the DRC's first prime minister. He served as the MNC's leader from 1958 until his death in 1961 as a member of the Congolese National Movement.
