To get started with changing your lawnmower blade, begin with removing the battery. This helps keep you safe by making sure the mower will not accidentally turn on.

Next you can tilt it on it's side, so you can access the underside of the unit.

Locate the hole shown in the video that I put the screwdriver in. You want to do this to keep the blade from rotating as you are loosening the bolts.

You can start with the center bolt which uses the 9/16" socket. Turn it counter clockwise to loosen it. This may be hard at first. You might want to spray some silicone spray, or other lubricant on it to help out.

Once this bolt is removed set it aside for later use. There is a special shaped washer below this that also needs to come off. You will need to save all the nuts and bolts that are removed at this stage. They will be required to put it back together.

Next remove the two remaining nuts using the 11/16" socket. You may need to hold the back of it with your thumb to keep it from spinning. the bolt here has a slot it fits into on the upper blade.

Once you have both nuts removed the two blades can come apart. Take off the lower blade to change it.

I am removing the lower blade because I want to install one that serves a different function. If you are replacing both of them because they are dull, you can do that at this point as well.

Remove the new blade(s) from the packaging. orient them in the proper direction as indicated by the words stamped on the blade.

slide the bolts through the same holes, and fasten the proper nuts.

Next place the blade assembly on the center bolt, and slide the special washer in place. While holding these pieces together, put the center bolt back.

Tighten it down with the proper socket again. Make sure all the nuts and bolts are tightened.

Now remove the screwdriver and tip the mower back on it's wheels.

You are ready to place the battery back in place and turn it on.

Thank you for watching my video. I hope it helped you out!
