Does Drilling Holes in a FAT PS3 Help with Cooling?

In this video I will describe why I believe drilling holes in a key location of a PS3 FAT (CECH A through E) model can help with expelling more heat, thereby helping to prevent overheating. I figured this out after watching and reading various things about PS3 mods, however, I haven't seen anyone else do this particular mod. Enjoy!
