French town veers to far-right in election

The French town of Meaux, a conservative stronghold east of Paris, was one of dozens of constituencies to fall to the Rassemblement National (RN) party of Marine Le Pen for the first time in a parliamentary election, as disaffected voters expressed their frustration toward President Emmanuel Macron.
