Canadian Defence Minister Anita Anand announces Canada investing $4.9B on NORAD modernization – June 20, 2022

At a news conference at CFB Trenton in Ontario, Anita Anand, the minister of national defence, announces Canada will invest $4.6 billion over six years on the modernization of continental defence capabilities. She is joined by General Wayne Eyre, chief of the defence staff, and Lieutenant-General Alain Pelletier, deputy commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
