Joni left a Mennonite cult to escape an abusive marriage, and is now in a relationship with Shawn, an atheist. Find out how this affected their relationships with Christianity in episode 3 of "What Are Christians: Seeing Christianity Through the World's Eyes"

What are Christians? What is the perception of Christians by those outside the faith, and does it line up with the expectations set for believers in the Bible? These are the questions we want to answer with this documentary project.

This six-part documentary series, produced and hosted by Zack Lawrence, sets out to evaluate modern American Christianity by asking people three simple questions:
What are Christians?
What’s the best interaction you’ve had with a Christian?
What’s the worst interaction you’ve had with a Christian?

By contrasting the answers of non-Christians and Christians, and comparing it all with the standards in the Bible, we hope to hold up a mirror to the American Church and discover if that reflection is what it should be.
