Efforts are underway to unravel the mystery of long COVID. Most people who contract COVID-19 fully recover, but about 10 to 20 per cent experience a variety of mid and long-term effects according to the World Health Organization.
And by those estimates, there could be 390,000 so-called "long haulers" in Canada.
The symptoms can range from fatigue to chest pain to anxiety and depression.
As Ross Lord reports, researchers are working to gather more data and ease the trauma of those affected.
