What Is An "Expendable Friendship"?

I discuss my thoughts on the concept the "expendable friendship", and why now these just do not really enter my mind as much. If you prefer real friendships over a large number of social acquaintances, meeting someone who treats you as an expendable friend is a good litmus test.
