Old Rotating Railway Bridge on San Francisco Bay

The railway bridge rotated to allow ships to pass through the channels as they traveled between San Francisco Bay and the landings in Newark. Several years ago the wooden structure that connected with the bridge was burnt down, probably due to a homeless encampment fire that got away. The rail line decommissioned in the early 1980's.
