Simon Zhang: Do Not Forget My Mother

Simon Zhang’s mother was arrested 3 days prior to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and passed away the next month, due to the torture she suffered when prison guards attempted to reform her faith.

Over the last 23 years, his mother Ji Yunzhi had been targeted and oppressed by the Chinese Communist Party simply because she practices Falun Gong, a meditation practice that was targeted for eradication by the regime in 1999.

Simon tells us his story, one of family and faith against the Party, representing countless other Falun Gong families who have also been separated due to the persecution.
