Gods Mercy is greater than your sin.

I want us to look at Psalms 40; 11-13 and also Psalms 136

Psa 40:11  Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy loving kindness and thy truth continually preserve me. 

Here David realizes that the only thing keeping him alive was Gods Mercy revealing itself in kindness and truth?

Psa 40:12  For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me. 

David confesses that evil surrounds him and his own sin was so great that he couldn't even bare to look up to heaven for shame?

Ever feel like that, if so you need to remember that Gods Mercy is greater than your sin.

Psa 40:13  Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. 

David knows that he is powerless to help himself his only hope is Gods mercy.

The 26 verses of Psalms 136

Psa 136:1  O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever. 

If God repeated Himself 26 times about His mercy their must be a reason?

The reason is that Gods Mercy is from everlasting to everlasting,

You can count on Gods Mercy as presented through His Son Jesus Christ.

Their is nothing else not one thing that you can count on, People, forget it.

The Government, middle scripture PSA 118;8 says no way?

You're a good person, no you are not, Psalms 14 & 53 you are rotten to the core?

Gods Mercy is forever, past-present-future. It's God everything you nothing?
