In this Michigan fishing video I am float fishing for trout with skein! I got into some brown trout, rainbow trout and creek chubs while float fishing with skein. Float fishing with skein is a bit messy but trout, salmon and steelhead love it so its worth the mess. I am newish to float fishing and am still learning how to tweak my rig and adjust to different situations but you cant argue the results in this Michigan trout fishing video. I feel as though I have gotten the drifting and mending down a lot better and have had success with my spinning reel and my centerpin reel. Michigan trout fishing has really sucked me in over the last few years but especially lately. The beauty of rainbow trout and brown trout is a large part of what draws a trout fisherman to the river but now that I've had the pleasure of batteling a few big rainbow trout and a massive lake run brown trout I am geeked about fishing for trout. You will will become more aware of my trout addicton when you see me continue to roll out a bunch of trout fishing videos with the other fishing videos

For more rainbow trout fishing and brown trout fishing videos make sure to subscribe! For those of you who regularly watch my fishing videos Thanks A Bunch for helping me reach 1000 subscribers! I will continue to pump out as many fishing videos as I can! I can promise I have several more trout fishing videos coming soon as well as some salmon fishing videos and with any luck some steelhead fishing videos!

Resident freshwater rainbow trout adults average between 1 and 5 lb (0.5 and 2.3 kg) in riverine environments, while lake-dwelling and anadromous forms may reach 20 lb (9 kg). Coloration varies widely between regions and subspecies. Adult freshwater forms are generally blue-green or olive green with heavy black spotting over the length of the body. Adult fish have a broad reddish stripe along the lateral line, from gills to the tail, which is most pronounced in breeding males.[10] The caudal fin is squarish and only mildly forked. Lake-dwelling and anadromous forms are usually more silvery in color with the reddish stripe almost completely gone. Juvenile rainbow trout display parr marks (dark vertical bars) typical of most salmonid juveniles. In some redband and golden trout forms parr marks are typically retained into adulthood.[18] Some coastal rainbow trout (O. m. irideus) and Columbia River redband trout (O. m. gairdneri) populations and cutbow hybrids may also display reddish or pink throat markings similar to cutthroat trout.[19] In many regions, hatchery-bred trout can be distinguished from native trout via fin clips.[20] Fin clipping the adipose fin is a management tool used to identify hatchery-reared fish.[21]

Juvenile steelhead may remain in the river for one to three years before smolting and migrating to sea. Individual steelhead populations leave the ocean and migrate into their freshwater spawning tributaries at different times of the year. Two general forms exist—"summer-run steelhead" and "winter-run steelhead". Summer-run fish leave the ocean between May and October, before their reproductive organs are fully mature.

Reel Michigan Anglers is a personal passion and my gift to fellow fisherman. In the future I hope to do more informational fishing videos and cover different types of fishing all across the great state of Michigan. My goal, time permitting is to fish as many different bodies of water for as many different fish species as I can get try hands on. I am a lansing michigan resident working towards transferring to MSU for Fisheries and wildlife. My goal is to expand operations and bring more educational and entertaining fishing videos to my subscribers. In the meantime you can count on me for the occasional video outlining the the techniques and areas I fish for Bass, Pike, Walleye, Steelhead, Salmon, Trout, Carp, Suckers, Catfish and Panfish ect. You can see additional videos and other fun fishing related info on my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?... I Wouldn't be the fisherman I am today without other fisherman who taught me the things I know and I am a firm believer that the sport and conservation of fishing in Michigan is better when we share it with one another. Wether your trying to lean a new spot to fish, a new crank bait to try, advise on what fishing rod to use, what fishing line to use, what color spinner a coho likes, what color jig a steelhead prefers, how to rig live bait, match the hatch, understand fish migration, the effects of barometric pressure or any other aspect of fishing the best way to learn is from other fisherman. That combined with trial and error and pure time spent on the water is the key to improving your fishing game. The better you get the more fun it is and the more we share the fun with others the more future generations will benefit from it.
