Oct 25, 2020. Join me and the team today for a very late, very hasty, but highly successful Illinois land management strategy as we plant 2 late fall food plots on my neighbors 16 acre parcel. If you substract the house and pond, we are really working with about 10 acres, most of which is open CRP field. Join me, Curtis Rogers, and one of my other neighbors, Zeb, as we put together a strategy on planting 2 fall food plots, in strategic locations to try to maximize the deer hunting potential of this property that belongs to my neighbor! Today we'll take out my Kioti RX7320 tractor and Rhino HD tiller, the Kawasaki Brute Force 750 ATV to plant and drag, and then the Polaris Ranger XP1000 Northstar edition to pull the cultipacker to seal the deal! And by the way, this is the neighbor who is a paralyzed firefighter, and we recently had a fundraiser to get him an Action track chair, rugged wheelchair as well as some custom handicap ground blinds and equipment to help him get back to being able to enjoy the outdoors after over 17 years of being paralyzed! I am working on getting him one or two custom ground blinds that he can access and use with the tracked wheelchair so that he can either hunt himself or at least enjoy some time in the stand with his young son who is just taking up deer hunting! The blinds will also allow him to just enjoy the outdoors, fresh air and to observe wildlife, as we do live in a wildlife rich area! In case you missed his story and the fundraiser here are a couple of those videos:
