Memes Threaten American Politics. Here's Why.

In this video analysis, Mr. Watson dissects one of the chief enemies to the advancement of an intelligent and principled kind of American politics: Internet memes. Although memes may seem innocuous and sophomoric, and therefore inconsequential to politics at-large, Mr. Watson explores the impact they could (and have) had on how certain individuals view political siutations and figures, and how those contrived mindsets could obstruct proper understanding of basic political principles. If someone does not understand the principles that they promote, how can they truly engage with them in any setting, much less one that promotes governance?

Presidents, political parties, social and cultural events, all of these are the subjects of internet memes. Perhaps time for this generation to get a new way to communicate ideas in a concise, yet compelling manner.
