Boulevardier On The Boulevard (How To) | Master Your Glass

On this episode of MYG I meet up with some of Las Vegas’ foremost cocktail experts and we make a Boulevardier on the Las Vegas Boulevard under the Welcome to Las Vegas sign in honor of Nevada Day (Oct 30).

About the Boulevardier
The Boulevardier, appeared in a 1927 bar guide called Barflies and Cocktails. The book was written by legendary Harry McElhone who had tended bar at places of the caliber of the Plaza Hotel in New York, Ciro’s in London, Ciro’s in in Deauville, France, and finally to Paris with his
own place, Harry’s New York Bar. The Boulevardier was the signature drink of Erskine Gwynne, expatriate writer, socialite and nephew of railroad tycoon Alfred Vanderbilt. Gwynne edited a monthly magazine, a sort of
Parisian New Yorker, named The Boulevardier.

Recipe:
1 oz. (30ml) Bourbon
1 oz. (30ml) Campari
1 oz. (30ml) Sweet Vermouth
Orange peel or slice

Instructions:
Combine the ingredients in a beaker or mixing glass and stir for 15 seconds.
Strain over fresh ice into a rocks glass.
Garnish with an orange peel or and orange slice
