The cat, cat or bass (scientific name: Felis catus) is a type of carnivorous mammal, and it is the only domesticated animal of the feline family, and is often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from the rest of its family of wild cats. Cats can be either domestic cats, farm cats, or wild cats.
