The Doobie Brothers (during their Michael McDonald as lead singer days) and DeBarge are the components for today's Segue City Special by the Mayor.

The Doobies are still at it to this day and have come out with another album and are touring to boot. Most bands and artists have to keep touring 'til they drop dead because of how they get screwed out of their royalties but don't get us started on the record industry.

It's pretty funny to us that the Mayor's degree in college was Commercial Music/Recording which supposedly qualified him for a mid level management position with a record label... but instead he chose radio and that was that... and now he knocks out segues like the one today...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
