‘They blindly believed in the renewal of energy sources’ - Putin on EU energy price hikes

At the SPIEF 2022 Putin claimed that Western countries blindly believed they could rely only on renewed energy sources, which led to a massive rise in energy prices. The president noted that this started long before Russia’s special operation in the Donbas, but the finger was pointed at Russia nevertheless, when the prices hiked.
