Inexperience horse people and riders don't understand the dangers of riding a horse. Especially if you put an out of shape, inexperience rider that is too big for a horse. This is a recipe for disaster. When a horse is in pain it will panic, buck, run off, flip, fall, trip and of these things can hurt the horse and rider. Plus-sized influencer Remi Bader, 26, has slammed a ranch in the Hamptons after she was turned away for 'weighing too much' - before the owner's son branded her a 'fat b****' on social media.

Remi - who earned viral fame with on TikTok by posting 'realistic clothing hauls' and try-ons - visited Deep Hollow Ranch in Montauk, New York, while attending a press trip for Jon Bon Voji's rosé Hampton Water this past weekend.

But while much of the images and videos posted on social media by her fellow influencers showed a giggling group of social media stars living the high-life in the exclusive Long Island area, Remi later revealed that a heartbreaking reality behind the glossy Instagram-ed experiences of the other attendees.

The online star shared her experiences on TikTok, where she posted a video claiming that Deep Hollow Ranch - which charges $250 plus 22 per cent gratuity for a 30-minute riding session for a family of four - had turned her away from a horseback riding session 'because she weighed over 240[lbs]'.

To add insult to injury, Remi later revealed that the ranch owner's son, Brody Keogh, had posted a video in response to her post, in which he branded her a 'fat b***h', saying: 'When you're not a fat b**** you can ride at Deep Hollow Ranch.'

Remi took to TikTok to share how she was turned away from a New York ranch for weighing 'over 240'

After the TikToker's initial post, the owner of the ranch's son duetted her saying 'when you're not a fat b**** you can ride at Deep Hollow Ranch'

While the response video has since been deleted, Remi re-shared the video on her own account saying: 'Imagine this being Deep Hollow Ranch's response to your experience.'

This event comes just one month after Remi began her treatment for binge eating disorder.

Remi shared a follow up post on her Instagram story claiming she'd never want to hurt a small business, however was disappointed in her the way she was treated.

'I posted for a reason and that's not because of me being denied to ride the horses. I get it, some places have weight requirements and I'd never want to hurt the horses, but it was the way I was spoken [to] and laughed at by the owner and the way I was treated overall,' she wrote on her Instagram story.

In a response statement posted to their Facebook, Deep Hollow Ranch said 'a teenage employee posted a response that in no way represents nor is aligned with the views that the owners of the ranch hold. We would like to apologize to anyone who this offended and we do not condone or agree with any part of that employee's video.'

The ranch's blog includes a chart on how much weight a horse can carry, showing the smallest horse can carry a 105 pound person, while the largest carries a 300 pound person at 15%

The horse guide shares that a rider 'should not be more than 15% of the horses weight,' as well as a chart outlining the how much weight horses from 700 to 2,000 pounds can carry.

The chart notes that smallest weighing horse, weighing in at 700 pounds, can carry a 105 pound person, while the largest horse, weighing in at 2,000 pounds can carry a 300 pound person.

Reviews of the ranch have plummeted since the incident with people sharing their opinions on both their Yelp and their website.

One user commented, 'Your decision to fat shame a customer and use hateful misogynistic slurs says who you are as a company.'

Remi was on a trip with multiple other influencers, including, Brooks Nader, Ella Rose, Jijordyn, Kit Kennan, Ruby Saracino and Agnes Kudokis.
