Anna Delvey is otherwise known as Anna Sorokin the infamous send me the wire. She was a scammer um who posed as a german socialite who tried to open her own social club here in new york city by claiming that her trust fund was overseas, scammed a bunch of wealthy people also some not-so-wealthy people too, but the reason that she's in jail is that she scammed wealthy people. This is kind of um the uh the Bernie Madoff syndrome it was literally like an in-person Nigerian prince scam. “oh my money is wrapped up overseas i can't get the hold of it, but if you give me some money now, then i'll be able to give you three times.” She's a complex hero figure in my book like the punisher and we should just say she was she was a subject of a Netflix show dramatizing her story she's like an auntie here right if you say she's like the punisher it's like you know we need a more dramatized version that that show was terrible we need a better one where it's like she's like a tony soprano or a or a don draper because complex figure but you can't help for but root for her to some degree.
