Pull-ups are one of the best muscle-building exercises to increase the size and strength of your upper back and arm muscles. And they also contribute to your core development. Finding a place to do them is relatively easy as well. All you need is a sturdy secure bar and your body weight.
Pull-ups are a difficult exercise to do but don't be intimidated. The more you try, the more you will be able to do each time. As you see here, the form is pretty straightforward. Unfortunately, lat pulldowns and the assisted pull-up machine won't be enough. You will need to push yourself with the move of a pullup so you can tap into your back and other supporting muscles.
Stick to this form and you will be on your way in no time to doing pull-ups upwards in the teens if not twenties.
