Blender - Simple Asset Manager [addon]

Update (2021): Blender does now come packed with its own asset manager, but being a creature of habit - I do still use this addon.

Asset management is a big deal with Blender at the moment, there's some great addons, like Blender Cloud and Chocofur to name a couple, but if I were to include that in my blend file, would I get into trouble?

Simple Asset Manager (https://gitlab.com/tibicen/simple-asset-manager)
will allow you to create repositories of assets in a directory, that you can kitbash into your scenes.

All I'll say is that this is an experimental attempt at a tutorial...
