Rivers flowing out of the foothills of Alberta have peaked or will peak soon, according to Alberta Environment and Parks.
Executive director of the Environmental Emergency Management Branch, Lisa Jackson, announced Wednesday that water levels for all major rivers are ranging from normal to above normal.
While there have been reports of localized low level flooding there was no major flooding reported, according to Jackson.
Alberta saw widespread rainfall of up to 30 millimeters since the morning of June 12.
Local amounts of up to 160 millimeters were recorded west of Okotoks.
Due to the wet conditions the province has closed some provincial parks, including Bow River Campground and Three Sisters Campgrounds.
Albertans are encouraged to head to Albertaparks.ca and check before heading out to any provincial park or recreation area.
