Redemption (payment of a ransom).
The payment or ransom for the penalty of mankind’s sin was paid for by perfection/Jesus Christ. God the Father was satisfied (propitiated) with the payment made by Jesus Christ.
The blood of Christ is an analogy to the Sacrificial Death of Christ on the Cross. Keep in mind that Jesus Christ did not bleed to death. He gave his life.
