Storm on the Horizon**

I want to discuss the storm that’s brewing. The hanging chads. The other shoe to drop. There are countless reasons why we’re in the state we’re in, it's true. And while I would love to spend all night discussing in great depth all the individuals and institutions to blame, we don’t have time for that. Yes, mainstream media is cancer. Fact-checkers are ferocious liars.

And yet as it stands our greatest danger may very well be that our youth, even the smartest among them, have all but lost the ability to exercise a healthy skepticism and to truly put their critical thinking skills to work. On top of that, they have no sense of recent history. I’m talking about the history we can verify. History that they don’t bother teaching in public schools any longer, and perhaps not even in the University, because it is so relevant to the moment we are in as we speak.

When I think of the perilous position, we’re in two things come to mind immediately. Why these two things, I have no idea. First is the terrible Tsunami that took place in 2004. When the water receded, when the ocean all but vanished, despite the gut instinct of many observers that something was not only terribly wrong but that something far worse was about to take place, most of them lured to watch the wildly strange phenomena stood, frozen and mesmerized in what would become a kill zone within moments.
