The Last Song on the BeatSeat™️ Mark Pires Original

Last night I played the Last Song for our family member George. Without going into specific detail George and his family are dealing with a sudden death in the family by car accident and we are all here to support each other. My heart goes out to George and his family and the only thing I could think of doing is playing the last song for George.

I wrote this about a friend from high school Brian, a world class wrestler and a tragic passing from when I was a kid, most would remark how could I write a song about someone I don’t know that well..

I suppose no one understood at the time that one day I would start a show where I literally write new songs every single day we are live but back then it was a head scratcher.

I spent a few weeks hanging with Brian along with one of my good friends at the time and I was inspired enough to write the song because this was a kid that dominated the wrestling mat and was a good kid, I don’t think any songwriter would have had a problem writing a song like this for Brian Wilderman.

Rest In Peace Brian and may this song be the comfort for those that lose someone going forward,
