The PE57 or Swiss Stgw.57, also known in the US as the AMT, is one of the most epic rifles of the Cold War. There is a lot of misinformation about them out there and a lot of missing information. I try to shore up some of those points about the PE57. The AMT is a true classic and the Stgw.57 served the Swiss well until the PE90/Sig 550.
