Dog bitten by snake, dies!!!

I hate friggin snakes!! This morning while I was feeding horses DeeOhGee ran to me whining and wouldn’t put his foot down. It didn’t look like much but I knew it was. I took him to the house to shave and Dr. his leg. It was a couple hours before the vet could see him. Needless to say I was there waiting when they unlock the doors. The vet said I had done all the right things and everything is in the OG‘s favor he has had a snakebite vaccination which should have less than the fact. As swollen as it is it doesn’t seem like it could have gotten much worse. I had given Benadryl and Tylenol immediately after the bite. The vet gave him anabiotic steroids and a pain shot. He still has seen or felt any relief and the swelling is only getting worse. So I called the doctor back before closing time to see how long it would take for the meds to start working. He was surprised that DOG was getting worse instead of better he directed me to give two more Benadryl and one of his pain pills. It was almost 530 then the OG was quiet whining and resting a little more comfortably the doctor and I agree DeeOhGee probably didn’t see the snake because it had bitten on the back of his leg. When he usually sees a snake he barks at it before he goes after one. This time he never made a sound until he crawled under the round pan to come to me. I’m reliving the nightmare from a couple of years ago when I lost my little fox girl, also from a snakebite. Last night I slept on the couch with my hand resting on the OG side. If I ever moved or left for just a minute he would go to whining. If I laughed for too long he would try to get up and fall back down. It was finally about 130 when he took his last breath. DeeOhGee would have been 2 years old on the 27th of this month. Way to young to be taken in this horrific way.
