ARACHNID 2001 - A scientific expedition investigating the outbreak of an unknown viral epidemic on an island in the South Pacific must battle with giant alien spiders in the jungle brought in by a crashed UFO.

Directed by Jack Sholder (The Hidden, Alone in the Dark) who stated he did it for the money. Still we have a rather fun throwback to 1950s styled Big Bug monster movies with nifty practical SFX and not the usual low budget bad CGI.
