Guess Who Biden Blames for Gas Prices?

Now the Biden Administration has sent a letter to the major oil companies, including Exxon, blaming them for our lack of oil production and the rising prices at the pump, when it’s his policies and his Executive Orders to halt production that have put American families in this predicament.

First President Biden blamed Vladimir Putin for rising fuel costs. Now he’s blaming the oil companies themselves. The Biden Administration is passing the buck on these energy prices in every direction they can.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed it on the oil companies:

"Oil companies making their largest profits in years have a choice: to put money into producing and refining oil or to put in — to put it into the pockets of wealthy shareholders while American families suffer at the pump."

Strangely, President Biden continues to absolve himself from any responsibility, despite the fact that he declared war on American oil during his campaign.

It was President Joe Biden himself who said that if he was elected there “will be no ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period.” But now he’s threatening that he will punish oil companies if they don’t increase production.

The problem is, Mr. President, they can’t increase domestic production if you don’t allow them to drill domestically. And why would oil companies want to trust President Biden and start upping their production, knowing that as soon as this latest furor blows over and the headlines shift away from oil and gas prices, he’s likely to put them right back in the crosshairs?

But what’s even more curious, according to the President’s own Climate Czar, former U.S. Senator Kerry, increased domestic oil production won’t solve the current energy crisis, despite it centering around our lack of oil. Proving how out of touch he is with the American people (and it seems his own boss), Kerry provided a nonsensical explanation as to why we shouldn’t be drilling more, and then joked about it:

"And energy security worry is driving a lot of the thoughts now about, ‘Oh, we need more drilling, we need more drilling of this, we need to go back to coal.’ No, we don’t. We absolutely don’t. And we have to prevent a false narrative from entering into this or, again, pun intended, we are cooked."

Clearly, the leadership on the Left doesn’t care that hardworking Americans are suffering right now. Why would they? John Kerry, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, even President Biden – all career “public servants”– are also all wealthy. They can afford to ignore the real struggles plaguing the American people. They don’t have to choose between groceries or a tank of gas. There are working Americans being forced to make that choice right now.

The Biden Administration has publicly declared war on the oil and coal industries. But it’s actually declaring war on American families. President Biden could take steps today that would immediately begin to alleviate the pressure on the American people. But he won’t take those steps. That’s not in the agenda he’s following. Does the radical Left want to strip you of your ability to provide for your family and make you completely dependent on the government? That’s the socialist agenda. That’s the Green New Deal, being forced on us against our will.
