HSBJ Comp: 5. The DBG's (Canada Punk) - Cowboy Song/Fight the Fight. Ripped Heart Hi Skool Band Jam. 11-19-1999.

In 1999, Bay City, Michigan based underground Christian punk & metal show promoter Ripped Heart Productions held it's 3rd edition of the Hi Skool Band Jam. This 3rd and final HSBJ was held on November 19, 1999 at Redeeming Love in Bay City Michigan.

From the Insert:
HI SKOOL BAND JAM III: 20 Christian bands from the area, with at least one members in High School put in to play. 10 Bands were chose chosen to play (including the order they played) by a drawing. These are the bands that played the Hi Skool Band Jam III in the order they played. This show/tape gives a sample of our scene.

This is a LIVE recording: 10 bands played in one night. Set changes were quick and sound checks even quicker. There were almost 200 people packed into the room. The crowd was very into the show. The line between the band and crowd often was blurred (as it should be at a good underground show). There are people all over the 'stage' running into the bands, gang vocals, broken strings and bands flying. At one point, the 'pit' merged with the sound table knocking the computer recording the show off the table, but Julie caught it and we were able to finish recording. The show was full of energy and a lot of fun. It is hard to capture that on tape but I tried to.
