Why Medical Evidence is Key to Success - Social Security Disability

Social Security disability judges are more likely to approve your claim if you have objective medical evidence backing you up.

Today, we discuss the importance of having "evidence of imaging" (like MRI or CT scans)
in your claim file to win your Social Security disability case.

For example, if you allege disability based on back pain, your chances of approval are much higher if your file contains an MRI report showing a disc herniation or a disc bulge with nerve root impingement, as opposed to an X-ray (that will not show soft tissue abnormalities) or no test results at all.

But this does not mean that you have no shot at winning if you cannot afford or your insurance won't pay for an MRI. There are also many serious medical conditions like lupus, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and Lyme Disease that cannot be imaged at all.

In this video I discuss other forms of evidence that you can use to bolster your disability claim in the absence of objective evidence. And if you also have objective evidence, these tactics can make your case that much stronger.
