PSA: (Lyft Drivers)

Saturday (06/11/2022) evening I was driving for lyft and I went for a pick up between East 55th and East 79th and I almost got car jacked. I spoke with 3rd District and Lyft safety department about it. If you know anyone who drives for uber or lyft stay away from that area and stop using the advertising for both companies because the ride share companies only care about profit. I also found out since 2020 there have been over 300 car jacking in that area and lyft and uber won't tell you.

I was on my way to pick up a rider at their location on Bonna Avenue by St. Clair and when I arrived I was met with a group of males who had guns drawn at his vehicle. He was able to get away. Lyft took 2 days to contact me back regarding the issue. I was unfamiliar with that area and unfortunately canceled the ride so I have no address of where these people live.
