LUGANSK, May 27. /TASS/. Three people were killed and more than ten were wounded in a Ukrainian Tochka-U missile strike on the village of Svatovo in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR), acting head of the Svatovo administration Lyudmila Rusanova told TASS on Friday.

"The missile hit the central square. People were promenading. According to preliminary data, three were killed and 14 were wounded, including four children," she said.

Fragments of the missile broke windows and damaged the roofs of nearby dwelling houses, three cars and a gas pipeline.

She also said that an unexploded shell was found in one of the streets.

LPR People’s Militia spokesman Ivan Filiponenko said earlier in the day that LPR’s air defense forces downed three Tochka-U missiles fired by Ukrainian troops at Svatovo.
