Historic drought turns Chilean lake into a desert

The Peñuelas reservoir in central Chile was, until twenty years ago, the main source of water for the city of Valparaiso, but a historic 13-year drought sparked by global shifts in climate patterns has reduced the giant waterbed to a level unsuitable for life. This report produced by Emma Jehle.
