Disney began presiding over Miramax in 1993 and then they became the handlers of the Hollywood rapist known as Harvey Winestein . IT was only in 2005 that they officially and legally went their separate ways. There have been a few lawsuits in recent years filed against Disney for their role and possible participation in Harvey Winesteins behavior, however the official statement from Disney was that Winestein acted with completely autonomy and they had no idea of his history of rape and abuse.

John Lasseter, the acclaimed head of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation, is another one with a long history of inappropriate behaviour at work. He cofounded Pixar and up until the #MeToo movement began outing him for his sexual misconduct, he was fully employed with Disney.
Once the allegations and rumors continued to spread, Lasster stepped down from his role but allegedly, Disney continued to pay him during this period of time. Lasster took responsibility for his actions by issuing a company wide email where he described his inappropriate actions as missteps — — missteps such as kissing and touching people without their consent while also making inappropriate sexual comments towards them.
Lasseter worked on the set of Toy Story, and voice actresses came forward saying they were abused by him during their time on set.

In 1995, Disney employed Vince Salva, a convicted child abuser, to direct the movie known as POWDER. Salva was convicted of harming a child and producing Child Pornography while he was working as a director on a movie set.
His victim was working on the set as a child actor. Despite being charged,convicted,and spending time in jail for these crimes- Disney still believed it was okay to rehire him and allow him to be on a set where there may have been minors.
When the victim of Salva’s crimes began speaking out against disney employing a child predator, Disney issued a statement saying Salva served his time and they were stood behind their choice to employ him.

In 1999, Patrick Naughton was convicted of having Child Phornography AND PLED GUILTY TO TRAVELING ACROSS STATE LINES TO HOOK UP WITH A MINOR. HE WAS executive vice president at the Walt Disney Co.

IN 2019 A ANOTHER former executive for Walt Disney was sentenced to seven years in prison for child rape.
Michael Laney, 73, who was the Vice President of Walt Disney, was tried on four counts of first-degree sexual abuse and found guilty.

James Gunn is a more recent example of Disney essentially co-signing adults who display inappropriate behaviors, such as making inappropriate and disgusting public comments about rape, pedosadism, and other sensitive topics. There are several claims of abuse made by former Disney child actors and actresses. Most recently Former Disney Channel star Ricky Garcia came forward with abuse claims that started from when he was as young as 12 years old.
Bella thorn is another example of a brave victim who started speaking out about the abuse and molestation that she went through while she was a child actor staring on a well known Disney show.
In 1998, a 20 year veteran investigative journalist named Brian Ross of ABC News picked up on a story linking child rape and “pedophilia” to relaxed security at Disney theme parks.
The journalist did a research study comparing the abuse that happened in multiple theme parks. The statistics confirm Disney parks had a higher rate of child abuse than other parks.
According to the journalist, Disney parks didn’t work well with enforcement officers. The story was canned right before it was supposed to air on an ABC 20/20 .
Guess what? ABC is owned by Disney.

There have been dozens upon dozens of arrests made in relation to Disney theme park employees being linked to severe crimes against children.
Everything ranging from accusations of physically harming children to possessing Child Pornography.
Actor Brian Peck was convicted of raping a child and spent time in jail , yet he was still able to find employment from Disney.
Disney decided it was still ok to hire this child predator and allow him to work on sets where there were children. He went thru the back ground check process, he is a known and registered sex offender and yet, it was OK to put him around kids.
More recently, in 2017 there was a massive pedo bust of over 35 people, all of whom worked for a Disney theme park. The people who were arrested ranged in from positions of management to ticket takers at the park entrance.
The official comment from Disney regarding this situation was that the amount of people arrested in the Pedo ring made up .01 percent of their work force.
