Footage filmed in Gardiner, Montana shows a HOME being swept along the Yellowstone River after unprecedented flooding.

The massive floodwaters were caused by days of torrential rain and melting snow.

Footage filmed by resident Kayla Karnes on Monday (14/06) shows the large brown house, which belonged to an employee of the national park, floating down the river.

Kayla said: “It’s so sad!

“Before we started this video there was so much debris coming before the house.”

The house, built in the 1980s, is one of many structures including bridges and roads that have been destroyed.

Road access to the 900 occupants of the town of Gardiner has been cut off due to the flooding.

The freak weather has forced the Yellowstone National Park to close all entrances across Montana, Wyoming and Idaho for the first time in 34 years.
