After Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist, his disciples came to Jesus and said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, to ask, ‘Are You the Expected One, or do we look for someone else?’” And he answered, “Blessed is he who does not take offense at Me.”

Why did it say, “Do not take offence at Jesus”?
By saying that he who does not take offence at Jesus Christ is blessed,
it means that there are people who do take offence at Jesus.
In other words, it says in Romans 9:33,
“I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, And he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.”
This means that Jesus has become a stone of stumbling and a rock of offence.

Who takes offence and stumbles because of Jesus’ name?
Let us search for the biblical answer by discerning spiritual things with spiritual words, by interpreting the Bible with the Bible.

"My sheep hear My voice,
and I know them, and they follow Me"
-John 10:27-
