This is a comparative Bible study on the events surrounding Jesus attending the Passover (John 2:12 – 4:43) after Jesus was baptized, but before John the Baptist was put in prison. This 4th part further discusses how Jesus' response, "Destroy this temple...", was later misquoted by false witnesses while Jesus was on trial prior to his crucifixion (Matthew 26:60-61, Mark 14:56-58). (Other verses referenced: Matthew 27:40, Mark 15:29, Matthew 24:1-2, Mark 13:1-2, Luke 21:5-6). Overall, this is our 29th New Testament (NT) Bible study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
