Acequia Madre in Santa Fe NM

This "acequia", the Spanish word has the double meaning of 'the water conduit' or 'one that bears water, called Acequia Madre, ran along the back of my apartment in Santa Fe NM. The Acequia Madre is one of the oldest water ways created in NM that took water from the mountains to the farmlands below. The acequia ran under my tiny patio deck. I was SO fortunate to live in this place for over a year.
