Red Pesto Homemade Cheese Twists Recipe - Old Upload Food Series Snacks Recipes for The Whole Family

Ingredients:
200 g puff pastry
100 g grated cheese
1 egg
100 g red pesto
pinch of flour

Directions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees C.
Sprinkle a pinch of flour on your worktop so the puff pastry doesn't stick to it.
Divide the puff pastry block into 2 equal parts, you will need to have 2 sheets at the end.
Roll the sheets out.
Take one of the sheets and spread the pesto out to cover it evenly. Add the grated cheese on top
of the pesto. Spread evenly, then place the 2nd sheet on top of the cheese.
Press the top sheet so it sticks together with the rest then slice in strips.
After you finish cutting all the pastry into strips, twist them strip by strip. Pinch the ends
of each strip so the cheese or pesto won't leak.
Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
You can sprinkle on top any leftover cheese.
Crack the egg and whisk it in a bowl and using a pastry brush, wash the egg on the TWISTS.
Put them in the pre-heated oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
