We the people of the USA deserve this. We didn't speak up when the US military burned through blood and treasure fighting in useless wars in the Middle East for decades. Voters demanded welfare and social spending that drove the US gov't to devalue the currency. And our workforce got lazy and entitled, demanding high pay for lower-quality work with lots of time off. Anyone paying attention knew this was going to weaken us, but the vast majority of Americans went along with it all, threatening anyone who pointed out that we were headed towards the cliff.
